Window Tinting: Lancia Thema Turbo
As you know, you kindly tinted the windows on my Lancia saloon in July as preparation for my 2000-mile round trip to Italy. I was pleased to note that the film reduced solar gain appreciably, and that as a consequence the demands on the air conditioning unit were much reduced resulting in greater comfort in the car, and better fuel economy. More important, however, than these benefits, I write to let you know that your safety claims for the film have proved to be absolutely true. During our trip a 40 tonne articulated lorry jackknifed and bounced off a retaining wall into our car, causing enough damage to write the car off. My wife, sitting in the passenger seat suffered a bad gash to her head from the impact, but further serious injury from flying glass was prevented by your window film, which kept the glass fragments together in a crumpled sheet rather than disintegrating over my wife and children. Without benefit of your window film, she would certainly have suffered bad lacerations, and I do not wish to contemplate what could have happened if glass had got into her eyes. Thank you for providing us with an excellent product, which has been tested so well under such unfortunate circumstances. A photo of the damaged car is enclosed for your interest.
